Remember all the Conservatives were going to teach George H.W. Bush a lesson for breaking his "Read my lips, no new taxes pledge" and vote for Perot. Yea, we taught that Bush a lesson all right, and got eight years of Bill Clinton to show for it. But we also got so much more. We ignored an increasingly dangerous world for many years. We got Jimmy the peanut farmer and half whit not bright, giving nuclear reactors and fuel along with a basketball signed by M.J. over a champagne toast to the pot bellied dog eating dictator in Korea, Kim Jong Mentally Ill.

You think you don't have influence over the House and Senate now? How much influence will you have with a Speaker Pelosi or a Majority leader Reid? How long will your taxes stay low? How long do you think it will be until the terrorists have civil rights? How long until the war on terror is treated as a law enforcement issue? How long until the Supreme court is compromised further (Remember that was the big issue what happened?) How long until an entire plethora of stupidity is unleashed on the American people?

I am sick and tired of the utter STUPIDITY expressed by some Conservatives that they will not vote. Or worse, actually say the Republicans deserve to loose, deserve to wander the wilderness for a while to get their bearings. I have never understood how in the hell you win by loosing. Do you really think you're better off letting the Stalinist left control the Legislative branch? Just because your feelings were hurt? Or the party didn't vote the way you wanted one time or another? You can't please all the people all the time but we sure as hell have had allot of our agenda advanced not all, but allot. It's crunch time people get your head out of your duff's and do the RIGHT thing. I know I am, I will not fall victim Stalinist tricks.

Jimmy carter once again shows us the true moron he is. At the funeral ceremony of Correta Scott King the FORMER (Thank God) President Carter took the rude and improper opportunity to take a cheap shot at President Bush.

Carter said the support of King and other civil rights figures in 1976 "legitimized a Southern governor as an acceptable candidate for president."
"The efforts of Martin and Coretta have changed America," he said, noting "they were not appreciated even at the highest level of government."
"It was difficult for them personally, with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretapping," he said.

What a complete buffoon. Who wire tapped Dr. King peanut boy? John and Robert Kennedy, Democrats that’s who. But you deserve thanks for much, much more Jimmy Like the Ayatollah Khomeni’s rise to power; because you would not back the Shah of Iran we got the beginning of extreme radical Islam Because you were so weak the Soviets saw your weakness and invaded Afghanistan, Bin Ladden anyone? Because you were so clueless we got 22% interest rates and lines at the gas pump a mile long. You will go down in history as the worst president of the 20th century. Think about that James Earl Carter before you trash a President that is leading a successful war on terror, A President cleaning up some of your mess, with a good economy, and low un-employment, and a President that received the more votes than any President ever. Think about that one termmer!

Selling out our security

The Lib’s are getting ready to step in it again. I have never seen a party in my memory as clueless as today’s Democrats. As the world sits by and watches the Islamo-fascists burn, pillage and murder over some rather mild cartoons (thus proving the cartoonists original thought for producing them) The Senate Dem’s (with the help of clueless Arlen Specter) are questioning our need to gather intelligence on these very same insane people.

What does it boil down to? Political pandering at the sake of our National security they like to hide behind the argument of separation of powers when what this really is’ is an attempt at a power grab. The first problem is the Lib’s don’t consider us to be at war, a grave miscalculation. We are at war and the Democrats voted for it too. I know what they say, “Bush lied” he “mislead” yadda, yadda, yadda. The Democrats saw the same intelligence as the President and still voted for war. Make up your mind fella’s is Bush stupid, or some evil genius that tricked you. You can’t have it both ways, and I’m sure that you enlightened, and intelligent, Democrats could not have been tricked by some dumb Texan hick, right?

A little history on F.I.S.A and Presidential powers. Our founding fathers learned during the Revolutionary war that having Congress run the day-to-day aspects of a war was not a good thing. Decisions took to long to make and it cost lives. So when the Constitution was written they invested this power in the executive (see U.S. constitution article2, and Federalist 74). Congress declares and funds war but the President runs the war. The President has the power to kill the enemy but not spy on him? This is a completely irrelevant argument.

During the Second World War there was a department of censorship that preformed tasks such as mail interception, and domestic surveillance among other things. That department caught several enemy spies many of whom were executed. The President is not only en-powered by article 2 but also by the “ Authorization for use of military force” public law 107-40 joint resolution 23, September 18th 2001, and also by the “War powers act”. The President is SWORN to protect this country and is LEAGALY EN-POWERED to do it. Democrats seek to usurp this power and put it into the hands of un-accountable judges, Congress Bureaucrats in some stealth, and irrelevant court rather than a President that is elected, not appointed, and accountable to the people. This is an attempt at a congressional power grab is exactly what it is. A cell phone call wont last the time to submit an inch of paperwork to some judge somewhere.

F.I.S.A. was enacted under the inept Carter administration. With visions of Watergate still in their heads, Carter, decided to usurp the constitutional power of the “evil executive” and put it in the hands of the liberals beloved courts. Liberals have a love affair with courts because they have turned them into a vehicle to force their ideology on others through legislation from the bench, because they cannot pass their loony ideas into law on the floor of Congress. Basically Carter CHOSE to do this, chose to limit his Constitutional power, well, several other Presidents including Bill “Echelon” Clinton and George Bush have deiced not to.

What does it all boil down to? Democratic Liberal Socialists don’t believe were at war, they have lost, and will continue to loose their power and will do anything including destroying their own country to get it back Political pandering at the expense of their own country in a time of war plain and simple, and disgraceful.

A Rove apology?

Not that he should ever make an apology (apologize for what?) but if he does it should go a little like this. (Must be said with lots of crocodile tears, and trembling voice)

"The other night I spoke some words that might have offended some people and If you are one of the people I offended, I apologize. My intent was not to offend those who seek to slap on the wrist and rehabilitate the most dangerous killers among us, and if you are one of those people, I'm really sorry. I will continue to speak out when I see stupidity and appeasement in our country and, if that offends you, I am really, really sorry. My Grandfather had some comforting words in these times, he use to say, "Son, if it looks like crap and it smells like crap then by golly it is crap" Thank you."

When Rove speaks, Dem's squeak

Karl Rove President Bush’s political adviser demonstrated he knows just how to pull the Democrats strings. Here are exerts of his comments at a conservative fundraiser last night; lets have a look at what Rove said that has the Dem's crying like babies. (From the N.Y. Times.)

"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers,"

Sounds pretty spot on, Rove was simply illustrating the different ideologies and, methods of thought between Conservatives and Liberals, Seems I remember it was Senator Kerry that wanted terrorism treated as a law enforcement issue. There was no comparing of anyone to Nazi’s or Pol Pot in Rove's speech, unlike Senator Durbins repulsive speech. There isn't any mean language in it such as say, Howard Dean's remarks of June 8th,

" Conservatives are not very friendly to different kinds of people, they are a pretty monolithic party ... it's pretty much a white, Christian party."

So Dean said, “Conservatives are not very nice” Karl Rove did not call Liberals “not nice” or “not friendly”or that Liberals are a party of quasi-socialist atheists. Rove spoke to the ideology; he did not personally attack the people that believe it. Remember Senator Harry Reid calling President Bush a “Looser” a personal attack, Karl Rove made no such personal attacks. These are but a few examples, I do believe the Democrats have the market cornered on “hate speech” and “divisiveness”. Notice how the press was all over Karl Rove instantly but, a took almost a week to get the MSM to say anything about Durbin, and then, only kicking and screaming. Heck, CBS has not yet ran a story on the Durbin disgrace. Here are more of Rove’s statements.

Mr. Rove also said American armed forces overseas were in more jeopardy as a result of remarks last week by Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, who compared American mistreatment of detainees to the acts of "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime - Pol Pot or others."
"Has there ever been a more revealing moment this year?" Mr. Rove asked. "Let me just put this in fairly simple terms: Al Jazeera now broadcasts the words of Senator Durbin to the Mideast, certainly putting our troops in greater danger. No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals."

Sounds right on the mark again. Al Jazeera is STILL broadcasting Senator Durbin’s remarks, and because of his non-apology, apology, they are still running with it to the detriment of our country. Lets look at Senator Durbin’s so-called apology.

“I’m sorry if anything I said caused any offense of pain to those who have such bitter memories of the Holocaust, the greatest moral tragedy of our time. Nothing, nothing should ever be said to demean or diminish that moral tragedy. I'm also sorry if anything I said in any way cast a negative light on our fine men and women in the military. I went to Iraq just a few months ago with Senator Harry Reid, on a delegation, bipartisan delegation, the President was part of it. When you looked in the eyes of those soldiers, you see your son. You see your daughter. They're the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them. Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line. To them, I extend my heartfelt apologies. There's usually a quote from Abraham Lincoln that you can turn to in moments like this. Maybe this is the right one. Lincoln said, if the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten thousand angels swearing I was right wouldn't make any difference. In the end, I don't want anything in my public career to detract from my love for this country, my respect for those who serve it, and this great Senate. I offer my apologies to those who were offended by my words. I promise you that I will continue to speak out on the issues that I think are important to the people of Illinois, and to the nation. Mr. President, I yield the floor”.

Senator Durbin meant what he said, when he compared our troops to Nazi’s and the like. Durbin read from a prepared statement, this was not some "off the cuff" remark. Just look at the carefully chosen wording of his so-called apology. The carefully chosen quote by Abraham Lincoln, “If the end brings me out right” This is not a man who is sorry; this is a man who thinks he is right.

“I offer my apologies to those who were offended by my words. I promise you that I will continue to speak out on the issues that I think are important to the people of Illinois, and to the nation”

Senator Durbin only offers an Apology to those that "were offended" not to the Nation.

"I promise you that I will continue to speak out on the issues that I think are important to the people of Illinois, and to the nation".

What the Senator is really saying is he think this abuse is really happening (in spite of the evidence otherwise) and he will continue to attack the administration and the military about it because Lord know the poor terrorists would not lie about their situation. This is not a man who is sorry folks.

This brings me to my conclusion; Karl Rove is brilliant; I believe he knew exactly what to say, especially, after all the rhetoric that has flown around this year. Karl Rove knew that his remarks would drive the moonbats nuts and get them screaming, right after Senator Durbins gaffe and non-apology, Roves timing was great. He is just showing all the sane people of the country what fruit loops the Dem,s really are and, in a tactful way. His words were not at all hateful they were well chosen. Senator Disgraceful Dick Durbin gives a so-called crocodile tears apology.

WASHINGTON - Under fire from Republicans and some fellow Democrats, Sen. Dick Durbin apologized Tuesday for comparing American interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Nazis and other historically infamous figures.

"Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line," the Illinois Democrat said. "To them I extend my heartfelt apologies."
His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks.
"They're the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them," he said.

Senator Dick’s apology is the standard liberal I got caught showing my true feeling non-apology, apology. Let me tell you what this really is. The heat has been turned up on Senator Dick Durbin until his own colleagues said to him behind the scenes something like this…..

You have to fall on the sword now Dick. You told the American people too much, you told them how we really feel about the country and it’s military, now go fall down.

That’s what it’s all about folks, Disgraceful Dick is not sorry, he spoke his true feelings last week. He is feeling the heat and is worried about re-election. And his Party is worried about us knowing the truth. That they loathe the military and our country.

Moonbats, Senator Durbin directly compared our troops to those murderers there is no other way to portray it. Dickey said "This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners" your not getting your smelly foot out of your venomous mouth that easy. With newspapers and a friendly MSM covering for you and a few sound-bites of backpedaling, as you did on the Senate floor yesterday, saying "I don't even know if it was American soldiers doing the interrogating" and "I support the troops" blah blah blah Senator. You should have thought about that before you opened your ignorant mouth, you meant what you said and many of us are not fooled by your two- stepping and are mad as hell. I think it's high time for censure hearings. I suggest dropping a line to Senator Bill Frist, the Senate majority leader and suggesting it.

Senator Durbin compares our troops to Nazi's and Pol Pot

Senator Durbin (my Senator unfortunately) on the Senate floor yesterday compared our troops to Nazi’s equating how prisoners are treated at Gitmo to Nazi death camp style torture. All I can say is Senator; your new name should be Durbin the Disgrace. How repugnant of a U.S. Senator to make such a statement on our Senate floor. Here are excerpts of his statements.

“If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime—Pol Pot or others—that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.”

“When you read some of the graphic descriptions of what has occurred here—I almost hesitate to put them in the RECORD, and yet they have to be added to this debate. Let me read to you what one FBI agent saw. And I quote from his report:”
“On one occasion, the air conditioning had been turned down so far and the temperature was so cold in the room, that the barefooted detainee was shaking with cold. ..... On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees. The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor.”

So I suppose in Senator Durbin’s and the other Democrats hive mind thinking that turning down air conditioning and making the poor TERORIST cold is somehow equal to the notorious and sadistic Nazi Dr. Mengle, and his freezing experiments. This poor TERORIST had to be in a 100 degree room, yea so what, I work in a building with several other AMERICANS (who you put below the terrorist’s) in 100 degree or higher temperatures for 10 hours a day during the summer so, can I get a federal grant to air condition my factory? So the poor TERORIST pulled his hair out? So what, I pull my hair out listening to the idiotic and senseless statements the Senator and his obstructionist Party make every day, I pull my hair out trying to pay the ridiculously high taxes the Democrats have saddled me with. Just how does the Senator think we can hope to extract information from these TERORISTS, by offering them a cookie? By giving them welfare and low-income housing? Maybe reparations will do the trick?

This is hardly torture. Torture is kissing your loved one goodbye in the morning and then watching them incinerate on national television because one of these hair-pullers brethren decided to fly a jet into the WTC. Torture is watching a video of your loved one having their head sliced off by one of the hair-pullers brethren. The fact is ALLOT of these TERORISTS that get released from Gitmo go right back to terrorizing again.

The fact is the TERORISTS at Gitmo get free medical care, air conditioning, ethnically and religiously correct food three times a day, and a call to prayer five times a day. The fact is these TERORISTS are not legally entitled to, or deserve, Geneva Convention protection. They are not from any countries uniformed military and have not signed on to the Geneva Convention. They are also not, in many cases, U.S. citizens and do not deserve Constitutional protections. They are however being treated with basic human rights and necessities and are treated a whole hell of allot better than they treat us. That’s what America does with it’s prisoners because we ARE a civilized people. Never forget that these TERORISTS at Gitmo are barbaric murderers, brainwashed religious fanatics, and criminals of the worst sort.

And the Democrats wonder why they keep loosing elections. They are nothing but a Party of pure obstructionism seething with anger and more voters are waking up to it and will make them pay yet again at the polls. Obstruction at all costs even when it damages their own country.

Vicente Fox has been hanging around Senator Byrd I think

What do Vicente Fox and Senator Byrd have in common? Senator Byrd use to wear the sheets of the Grand Kleagle of the KKK and Mr. Fox needs too. Responding in anger to the U.S. announcing tougher border security the President of Mexico stated, “ Mexicans take jobs in the United States that even blacks don’t want” according to the Chicago Sun Times. This racist statement was published in a Mexican paper and picked up by the Sun Times. The porous border is a security threat to the United States and it is high time it gets dealt with albeit in a slow, small way, some progress is better than none. Fox’s racist comments just show his true stripes and are very unbecoming of a leader of a Nation.

Filibusters, Bolton and obstructionism

The real war over the nomination of John Bolton has nothing to do with the claims that Bolton may have verbally roughed up some subordinates, and has everything to do with those who believe America is the problem and, those who believe the U.N. is the corrupt piece of useless dung that it is. The Liberal bureaucratic rule is (as many of the liberal views are) say the comfy thing, words and sound bites and never action. And Bolton’s crime is meaning what he says and acting upon it. This just won’t do in the linguini-spined world of the liberal-socialist bureaucrats and their clueless twins in the U.S. Senate. With the ripe stinking corruption of the U.N. and its multiple scandals, John Bolton is exactly the person we need at turtle bay. Senators such as Mr. Voinovich and others like him will have a hefty toll to pay for the treasured media minutes they win as well as, the quaint little stories they receive in the N.Y. Times for selling out their own Party and becoming “maverick” media darlings.

The unprecedented obstructionism by the minority party must be dealt with not only on Bolton but on judicial filibusters also. I say make them filibuster the old-fashioned way and get Teddy Kennedy’s and Barbara Boxer’s butt’s on the Senate floor in a cot. Republicans had better listen up to the message the voters sent them in November and start acting like the Party in charge or pay a political price for it. Just look at it this way Mr. Frist, do you believe for one second if the shoe was on the other foot that the Democrats would not exercise the “nuclear option” you could bet your bottom dollar they would. Quit worrying about the mainstream media whom the voters are less and less interested in what they have to say and worry about what the people who elected you want. Flip the switch, set the nuke off and be done with it already.

C-BS report not a complete whitewash but, severely lacking

Well the much anticipated and delayed C-BS report is out on the President Bush TANG memo report. I have now had a chance to read much of the report and my thoughts of it so far are this. (A link to the report can be found at the end of the post)

The report is not the complete whitewash that I expected and, is very critical of C-BS in many areas, but, falls short of condemnation in many areas where it is deserved. The report is a great source of information overall, and, leaves some things as an inference of impropriety without actually coming out and saying it. Here are my observations so far.

First off the report found no evidence of political bias even though it makes it quite obvious it existed and indeed it did. There are several e-mails in the report between Ms. Mapes and her colleges where in my opinion and many others opinion her political bias was evident. Ms. Mapes defiantly suffered Bush derangement syndrome and so did Dan Rather, of which whom the report deals little with. Bellow is some of Ms. Mapes e-mails where her bias indeed shows. How else do they explain Ms. Mapes chasing a dead story for five years where before her every lead was a dead end on factual evidence and only conspiracy theories kept her going.

On July 23, Michael Smith, a freelance journalist in Texas who was working on the story along with Mapes, sent her an email that began: "I am close to something that the Bushies are worried about..." Mapes responded: "I desperately want to talk to you....Do NOT underestimate how much I want this story."

On July 30, Mapes sent an email to one of her superiors at CBS in which she wrote: "...there is some very interesting Bush stuff shaking out there right now...Re...his qualification [sic] and refusal of service in Vietnam, etc. Lots of goodies."
On August 3, she emailed again: "There is a storm brewing in Austin re the Bush stuff....It is much more intense than it was four years ago and there is a strong general feeling that this time, there is blood in the water."

Today I am going to send the following hypothetical scenario to a reliable, trustable editor friend of mine...

What if there was a person who might have some information that could possibly change the momentum of an election but we needed to get an ASAP book deal to help get us the information? What kinds of turnaround payment schedules are possible, keeping in mind that the book probably could not make it out until after the election.
Mapes replied: "that looks good, hypothetically speaking, of course."

Remember Mapes had chassed this story for five years and turned up very little and no coo berating witnesses. So if it was not bias that drove her what was it? There was allot more evidence of the Swift Boat Veterans claims why didn’t she, or, any other mainstream reporter chase those leads? The report also shows how Mapes mislead people in her interviews such as Bobby Hodges, Buck Staudt, and the White House communications director.The panel found that Mapes misrepresented the following to her staffers that contacted the White House.

1) That she had obtained the Killian documents relating to President Bush’s TexANG service; 2) That she had interviewed someone who served in the TexANG at the same time as President Bush who said that the documents seemed accurate to him; 3) That she had asked four experts to review the documents and was satisfied that she had “covered her bases”; 4) That, in response to a question as to whether Democrats had been involved in handing over the documents, Mapes said, “Texas Republicans of a different chromosome” were her source; and 5) When asked why she was rushing the story, Mapes said that USA TODAY had also obtained the documents and planned to publish them on Wednesday. (page 97)

Second the report says little about the connection to the Kerry campaign when indeed there was one. We know from the report that Mape’s had conversations with Chad Clanton and Joe Lockhart but Mape’s account of the conversation and Lockhart’s differ.

Mapes claims the phone call to Lockhart lasted two minutes and Lockhart claims it was much more detailed and longer, and, that Mapes had spoken to Chad Clanton on several other occasions Lockhart’s account makes more sense, how else was the Kerry campaign able to coordinate operation “fortunate son.” Within a day of the C-BS report without foreknowledge.

Howard and that he approved the contact. Mapes said that Howard had reasoned that reporters exchange information from various sources and this request was not problematic. Howard, however, told the Panel a very different version of this conversation and said that he clearly informed Mapes that it would be inappropriate to intervene with Lockhart or anyone else associated with the Kerry campaign on Lieutenant Colonel Burkett’s behalf.
Mapes further told the Panel that at some point prior to September 8 she spoke to
Lockhart. According to Mapes, Lockhart called her and the conversation lasted only
approximately two minutes. Mapes told the Panel that she merely informed Lockhart that
Lieutenant Colonel Burkett wanted to speak with him. She did not think she described
Lieutenant Colonel Burkett as a source or that the subject of the documents ever came up during the call.”

“Lockhart told the Panel a contrasting version of this conversation. Lockhart said that
Clanton, who reported to Lockhart, had asked Lockhart to take a call from Mapes about a story she was working on related to President Bush’s TexANG service. Lockhart told the Panel that Clanton said that the story involved documents and that a call from Lockhart to a 60 Minutes Wednesday source who wanted input into the Kerry campaign might assist 60 Minutes Wednesday in obtaining the documents from the source. Lockhart was reluctant to speak with Mapes given that he did not want to give the impression that the campaign was assisting on the matter. Lockhart said that he agreed to speak with Mapes only after he was assured by Clanton that Mapes already had obtained the documents in question and that the reporting stage of the story was complete.

Lockhart informed the Panel that Mapes called him on the evening of Saturday,
September 4. Lockhart said that she told him that she had lined up an interview with Ben Barnes and had obtained documents that had been authenticated by some number of experts. Lockhart stated that Mapes said that there may be more documents and Mapes asked him to call Lieutenant Colonel Burkett, whom she described as a source for the story. Lockhart said that it was his impression that a call to Lieutenant Colonel Burkett could be helpful in obtaining the additional documents.

Lockhart told the Panel that he did not immediately call Lieutenant Colonel Burkett as he
recognized it could be perceived negatively. However, he ultimately changed his mind and
spoke to him on Monday, September 6, by which time Mapes had received the rest of the Killian documents. Lockhart said the call lasted less than five minutes and that Lieutenant Colonel Burkett gave his opinion on how the campaign should address the Swift Boat issue. Lockhart stated that he said very little during the call and the subject of documents never came up.

The Panel is unable to resolve definitively the conflict between the accounts of Howard
and Mapes concerning whether permission was given to speak with a representative of the Kerry campaign in connection with the TexANG story. Whether or not permission was given to Mapes, the Panel finds this contact to be highly inappropriate. The September 8 Segment had a strong political focus and it was to air in the middle of a hotly contested presidential campaign.

While it is certainly proper to receive information from a variety of sources, this contact crossed” (pgs 26 and 27)

The report stops short of condemning the obvious. That Mapes (And most likely Rather) had an agenda to change the election and bring down Bush, and that her report was based a flawed forged documents and on at least two partisan sources (Barnes and Burkett) one of which (Burkett) was a complete whack-job ( the guy that shot himself up with bovine penicillin to treat his mystery ailment) people who had an axe to grind with President Bush. And that Mapes ignored contrary evidence, and, testimony as well as her own document experts to generate the report. In my opinion Ms. Mapes bias is clear.

That there was indeed at least cooperation with the Kerry campaign if not collusion. The report stops short of concluding this but also, makes it quite evident to a half way intelligent non-biased reader.

Yes, it has indeed been a busy week of America bashing for the loony left in America. From Barbara Boxhead uh, I mean, Boxer, undermining the countries electoral process to John “I have a plan “ Kerry in Iraq undermining yet another American war effort. But wait, there’s more. We have Senator’s Biden and Kennedy doing all they can to trash the countries first Hispanic American nominee for Attorney General while trying to extend Geneva convention rights to mass- murdering terrorists criminals.

And the Democrats wonder why they are loosing elections? I am looking forward to upcoming Republican super majorities in 2006, as the electorate grows even wearier of the loony left and their hate America, lunatic fringe ideology. The Democrats have absolutely no regard for this country’s institutions, security, and morality. Just remember my fellow Americans the more the Democrats pull their silly stunts reminiscent of spoiled children, the more they will pay at the ballot box.

In all seriousness I am pretty tired of the left in America trashing our country and dragging it through the mud. Lets take these one at a time.

The vote in Ohio was counted three times and Bush won buy 118,000 votes, deal with it lefties you lost. Accept it, and go on don’t drag the country through needless turmoil and needless expense for something that Kerry himself conceded was useless. This is purely an exercise in partisanship meant to de-legitimize Bush so the Dems can say Congress put him in office. What a waste of money and time for baseless, wacky, unfounded conspiracy theories.

Screwing with one war was not enough for John Kerry. He has to go screw with this one too. A sitting U.S. Senator going to the theater of war and making the comments he made is utterly despicable and beyond contempt. Senator Kerry has the right to challenge policy and disagree with the war but, that should be done here on the Senate floor not in the theater of operations A real good way to improve moral there Senator telling the troops they are fighting a “blunder” or a “miscalculation” very nuanced there John.

The Party of so-called “tolerance and racial diversity” has repeatedly shown it is nothing of the sort. From their appalling statements and racial slurs on Dr. Rice (a over qualified and incredibly intelligent woman) for her appointment to Secretary of State. To their grilling of Alberto Gonzales another qualified minority person, the Democrats have shown their true stripes, if you don’t fit their definition of a “minority” in other words a Democrat. Then you are simply a “puppet” or a” tool of the man” not a true minority an “Uncle Tom” so to speak. All minorities should be sickened at the portrayal Democrats make of them; it is degrading and despicably racist in my opinion.

And last but not least is the willingness of the Democrats to afford the terrorists rights and privileges we would give citizens of a country or enemy combatants. The Geneva convention applies to uniformed members of a nation-states military, not, a rouge criminal element, which is what terrorists are. They are the worst kind of criminals and should not be afforded the privilege of Geneva Convention protection. The Geneva Convention minimally requires both parties sigh on to it and abide by it, do the terrorists do that? I think not.

We should be more united in our war effort and not quibbling over whether or not a terrorist lost sleep or was intimidated by a dog. I wonder if Nick Berg was treated humanely before the terrorist criminals lopped his head off. I am not advocating torture here, but the methods employed by the U.S. to get information are not even close to torture and, are far away from the methods the terrorist use on us. In an article in the Scotsman, former U.N. International Development Secretary Clare Short says that president Bush is undermining the U.N.'s "moral authority" by, setting up and coordinating our own three nation relief effort for the tsunami aide, and not letting the U.N. handle it all.

United States President George Bush was tonight accused of trying to undermine the United Nations by setting up a rival coalition to coordinate relief following the Asian tsunami disaster.

The president has announced that the US, Japan, India and Australia would coordinate the world’s response.But former International Development Secretary Clare Short said that role should be left to the UN.

“I think this initiative from America to set up four countries claiming to coordinate sounds like yet another attempt to undermine the UN when it is the best system we have got and the one that needs building up,” she said.“Only really the UN can do that job,” she told BBC Radio Four’s PM programme.

“It is the only body that has the moral authority. But it can only do it well if it is backed up by the authority of the great powers.”Ms Short said the coalition countries did not have good records on responding to international disasters.She said the US was “very bad at coordinating with anyone” and India had its own problems to deal with.

“I don’t know what that is about but it sounds very much, I am afraid, like the US trying to have a separate operation and not work with the rest of the world through the UN system,” she added.

First off the U.N. has NO moral authority whatsoever, ah, oil for food, U.N. personnel raping people in Africa, just to name a few. The Bush administration has every reason in the world to distrust the corrupt U.N. We, the U.S. taxpayer, waste enough money by giving it to the ridiculous irrelevant U.N. we do not need to give them more to waste through their mis-management. We should be cutting their money off all together until some real reform is made there. The U.N. says the U.S. is stingy

The U.N. Undersecretary- General for humanitarian affairs Jan Egeland, has called the United States “stingy” for only sending $15 million in immediate aid to the nations struck by last week’s tsunami. President Bush approved an immediate $15 million in aid, as well as food, medicine, and military aid to the stricken nations as part of what will be a larger aid package.

But this mere pittance is not enough for the ever-arrogant U.N. (even though the U.S. is the single largest donor to the disaster) The ungrateful Mr. Egeland says that the rich and stingy Americans should have their taxes raised to provide more aid, that in fact, we would like to have our taxes raised for that purpose. Here are some exerts from the Washington Times article quoting Mr. Egeland.

“U.N. Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland suggested that the United States and other Western nations were being "stingy" with relief funds, saying there would be more available if taxes were raised.”

"It is beyond me why are we so stingy, really," the Norwegian-born U.N. official told reporters. "Christmastime should remind many Western countries at least, [of] how rich we have become." "There are several donors who are less generous than before in a growing world economy," he said, adding that politicians in the United States and Europe "believe that they are really burdening the taxpayers too much, and the taxpayers want to give less. It's not true. They want to give more."

The arrogant Mr. Egeland needs to take heed that the U.S. taxpayer is the biggest contributing body to relief efforts around the globe, not just in this disaster, but, in all relief efforts globally. Americans contribute vast amounts of money, not only as a nation but through private organizations as well; the American people are very generous. I wonder how much money Mr. Egeland’s native country of Norway is contributing? I am willing to bet it is nowhere near $15 million, or, even the $10 million that Australia, the second largest contributor has given. The entire EU all together is giving $27 million to the effort. If you add in the food and military aid we are giving I am willing to bet that the U.S. even surpasses that mark. So take your socialist idealistic remarks and stuff them Mr. Egeland.

The U.N. and many other nations always look with disgust upon the United States. But they sure do always have their hand conveniently out to reach into our wallets don’t they. If the U.S. is so damn bad, and stingy why do you always want our dirty capitalist pig money? I mean after all shouldn’t all you enlightened Europeans be taking a stand against the evil, imperialistic, American cowboys and our blood money?

The U.N. constantly slaps us in the face and stabs us in the back and we still keep supporting it. In fact we are also the single largest contributor to the U.N. As an American taxpayer and one of the U.N. contributors I feel, as I am sure many other Americans do, that the U.N. is a corrupt, and arrogant body needing to be disbanded. Maybe the U.N. could use some of their stolen oil for food money to pay for the relief efforts, I mean there was a lot of that money, why is the U.N. and their EU co-conspirators being so stingy with it? The race between Republican Dino Rossi and Democrat Christine Gregory in the Washington state Governors race has gone beyond despicable on the Democrats part. In the beginning after the votes were counted Republican Dino Rossi won by 261 votes triggering a mandatory recount because of the slim margin. Democrats immediately “found” some more votes that had not “been counted” and demanded they be put in the RECOUNT (note recount not new count) but to the Democrats shock and amazement Rossi picked up more votes on the machine recount (this usually happens to the leader in a machine recount) but his lead dwindled to 42 votes.

Well, that just would not do for the Democrats. After loosing two counts of the votes they called the race “a tie” and coughed up the dough for a hand recount concentrating on heavily Democratic King County, where, it just so happens votes that nobody knew about before keep turning up. The votes just by “coincidence” were not counted before, and are, just enough to put Gregory over the top by eight votes. Banana republic anyone? Who the heck the Democrats think they are kidding? This is nothing but rampant vote fraud, rampant vote fraud aided by activist liberal judges. Being a republican myself I do not like to advocate federal involvement in a state issue, but in this case it is warranted. The federal government is duty bound to step in when fraud is this obvious.

I live near Chicago where Emperor Daley wrote the Democratic playbook on election fraud, so I know it when I see it. This is such an obvious act of vote fraud one would be blind not to. Washington State is looking more and more like the Ukraine every day, I mean, what are we some third world oligarchy or the Represenitive Republic that wrote the book on free and fair elections? Ms Gregory should have taken John Kerry’s and Ms Castor’s lead and honorably conceded defeat, but I guess Ms Gregory is not that honorable. LAGOS, Nigeria, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- The son of U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Kojo, calls the inquiries into Iraq's oil-for-food program a U.S. Republican "witchhunt," CNN said Tuesday.

In a written statement to the network, the 31-year-old said: "I have never participated directly or indirectly in any business related to the United Nations."

The oil-for-food program, administered by the United Nations, was designed to allow Iraq to sell oil and use the proceeds to buy food and medicine to offset the sanctions' impact on the Iraqi people.

The younger Annan once worked for Cotecna, a Swiss company that inspects commercial freight shipments. It was hired by the United Nations in 1998 to verify paperwork on imports purchased by Iraq with revenues from its oil exports.

Both Annans have denied any collusion, favoritism or profit-taking.
"I feel the whole issue has been a witchhunt from day one as part of a broader Republican political agenda," the younger Annan said in his statement to CNN.

Washington, DC, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. Senate Democrats Monday signaled they would continue to try and unofficially oversee the Bush administration.

Sen. Byron L. Dorgan, D-N.D., and Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced several oversight hearings on a range of subjects next hear.

The minority party in Congress argued the Republican leadership has skirted its responsibility for administration oversight as defined in the Constitution.

But the hearings -- eight this year on subjects ranging from the deficit to U.S. contracting in Iraq -- have had little impact beyond political show because they are highly partisan affairs with no subpoena power.

Humvee armor and poison pens

The left has been having a field day with the loaded question that Secretary Rumsfeld was asked about humvee armor. An inbeded reporter named Edward Lee Pitts of the Chattanooga Times Free Press coerced a soldier into asking the question. The question was posed to Secretary Rumsfeld during a Q&A session in Iraq. I have done some research on this and have a different story to tell, one you wont hear in the media, and one that troops over there are telling through their e-mails and blogs.

First lets deal with the facts. Out of 30,000 humvees 22,000 have already been armored. Armor kits are being sent to theater as soon as they are produced to upgrade unarmored humvees, in addition, 8,100 armored humvees have been ordered this year but only 6,000 are expected to be delivered due to manufacturing delays not monetary problems. The biggest problems are manufacturing delays having nothing to do with the military. Our troops deserve the very best, and nothing less; our troops have the very best. The U.S. military is the best-equipped and trained military ever to take the field. Our tanks are air-conditioned and have filtered air. We have unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) flying over our troops feeding real time battlefield information to our men on the ground. The UAV’s can see in thermal image, as well as, infrared so the enemy has a hard time hiding. We have excellent EVAC and battlefield medical care of the wounded, greatly increasing the survivability of our men Our troops own the night, almost all soldiers are equipped with night vision.

What we are dealing with in this situation is two things. The first problem is that there are logistical problems in any war, and that is what we are dealing with here. Look at history; every single war in human history has had logistical problems. Look at the Battle of the Bulge, and, North African campaign, multiple supply and equipment problems in both. The first version of the Sherman tank was a disaster, did that mean we should not fight the war? To supply, move, and equip a military force is no small feat. And the U.S. military is the best in the world at it hands down. Our troops are getting what they need as fast as we can get it to them. The situation on the ground has changed sense the beginning of the war from desert to urban warfare and the military is adapting to it and change does take some time, it does not happen overnight.

The second problem is the left wing liberal agenda that has caused this mostly fabricated story in the first place. Did this reporter pose this question in an attempt to help the troops? The answer is NO he posed this to have something to hit the administration on. The liberal left loathes the military and loathes the Bush administration even more. This was nothing but a planned hit piece designed to hurt the Bush administration, and the war effort in Iraq, a war that they. This is like a “see I told you this war was a bad idea and Bush is inept” attack. The left has no room to talk; they have opposed most military spending as well as the military itself. The lefts candidate, John Kerry, opposed body armor, and, humvee armor when he voted for the 87 billion dollar spending bill before he voted against it, and other Democrats stood with him. The hypocrite left does not even have the right to speak on this issue if you ask me; they have forfeited that right by their constant opposition to the war and all things military. The left has orchestrated this attack to undermine the administration and the war effort and it is as simple as that. How does C-BS think they have the credibility to attack anyone after there hypocritical selves fail to even listen to their own document experts for poorly forged documents. Documents the blogosphere discovered were phony within a few hours because the blogs were doing the checks that C-BS should have done themselves. C-BS picks up were Dan RathER left of calling blogs nothing more than partisan political hacks. That is the pot calling the kettle black don’t you think? Especially after the RathERgate and Al QaQaa hit pieces they ran, not to mention all the other biased news pieces they have done over the years.

I have read both of these blogs on occasion; neither of these blogs ever hid their support for Thune ever. The fact is these men would have supported Thune even if they were not paid. And the fact that they were paid makes it bad somehow? Al Sharpton was paid by the Kerry campaign, and a heck of allot more money to. Again the pot calling the kettle black.

And what we do is make CORRECTIONS when we are wrong. We bloggers take our blogging seriously and most of us will retract anything incorrect as soon as it is brought to our attention. Unlike you C-BS, who held on to your bogus Texas Air National Guard story to the bitter end loosing what credibility you still had. For C-BS to call someone partisan is one of the most hypocritical things I have ever heard.

Now C-BS wants free speech suppressed? Any other time they would be screaming bloody murder. A similarity can be drawn from history about the current state of the mainstream media. The elite aristocracies in France at the time of the French revolution were the last to realize their grip on power was gone, right before their heads were lopped off. What we are witnessing is the cries of a dying, spoiled monopoly coming to an end.

The mainstream media will have to find a way to adapt to the “new media” they could start by more fairly reporting the news. Mr. Annan has rejected calls from U.S. lawmakers for his resignation over the multi-billion dollar Oil for Food (OFF) rip off saying he will "carry on" at the helm of the United Ninnies (quickly becoming the helm of the Titanic) until his term ends.

With all that has come out about the OFF program and its corruption, it is painfully obvious that Kofi Annan is either corrupt to the core, or, as dumb as a sack of rocks for all that corruption to have happened under his watch. Either way Mr. Annan is an embarrassment to all, as well as an obstruction to any real reform at the U.N.. Mr. Annan should have the decency to step down and call for the reforms that are desperately needed there , but instead, he has just proven himself to be the true embodiment of the typical power craved bureaucrat that he is.

LUEBECK, Germany, Dec 2 (AFP) - German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and French President Jacques Chirac pledged their support here on Thursday for embattled UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

"Germany and France reiterate their full support for Kofi Annan whose commitment to the aims of the United Nations is total," Chirac said at a press conference after holding talks with Schroeder.

Schroeder also pledged his support for Annan, whose resignation is being sought by a US senator over the scandal-plagued Iraq oil-for-food program.

US Senator Norm Coleman, the Republican chairman of the Senate investigations subcommittee that is conducting its own probe of the oil-for-food program, wrote in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that Annan should step down because of fraud that occurred "on his watch."

The oil-for-food program, launched in December 1996 and terminated in November 2003, was intended to ease the effects on Iraqis of the international sanctions imposed on the regime of Saddam Hussein.

But US congressional investigators say Saddam's regime may have skimmed billions of dollars from the program, and allegations have surfaced of pay-offs to officials and private individuals from around the globe.

US President George W. Bush, speaking in Washington on Thursday, called for a "full and fair and open" probe into the UN oil-for-food scheme in which Annan's son is implicated.
Bush did not sign on to Coleman's call for Annan to resign but nor did he distance himself from the demand.

A French official said on the sidelines of the press conference here that Schroeder and Chirac had telephoned Annan to offer their "friendship and support".
The two leaders also welcomed the proposals for a radical reform of the United Nations which were published this week.

The ACLU has accused the FBI of spying on faith based and anti-war groups. The ACLU has filed freedom of information requests in 10 states to try and garner a case against the FBI. Why doesn’t the ACLU just come out and say what there really think? They don’t like the patriot act, and, they think the FBI and the “evil” Bush administration are picking on terrorists and Muslims as well as war protestors, violating their “civil rights”, yea right, more like they are protecting us from terrorists, and terrorist attacks.

The ACLU is nothing more than a liberal, left wing activist group. Protection of people and civil rights is not their goal; their goal is a liberal socialist political agenda. The only reason Christians are even mentioned in the article is a back door way of trying to garner support for their political agenda, they could give two hoots and a holler for Christians as their many “separation of Church and State” lawsuits, and there rhetoric clearly show. This is just a tactic used for a hidden political agenda. Funny the ACLU never complains about infringement on second amendment rights, or, rights of the unborn.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The American Civil Liberties Union on Thursday accused the FBI and local police of spying on political and faith-based groups and formally asked the government for information about such FBI surveillance.

In Freedom of Information Act requests filed in 10 states and Washington, D.C., the ACLU sought information about the FBI's use of Joint Terrorism Task Forces and local police for what it called political surveillance.

It pointed to some documented examples of task forces' involvement in the investigation of environmental activists and anti-war protesters.

"The FBI is wasting its time and our tax dollars spying on groups that criticize the government, like the Quakers in Colorado or Catholic Peace Ministries in Iowa," said ACLU associate legal director Ann Beeson.

"Do Americans really want to return to the days when peaceful critics become the subject of government investigations?" she said. The ACLU is America's most prominent independent advocacy group for civil liberties.

The FOIA requests seek FBI files on groups and individuals targeted for speaking out or practicing their faith.

The FBI denied using the task forces -- a key element of the government's efforts to prevent another terror attack like those on Sept. 11, 2001 -- to spy on innocent individuals.

Asked about the ACLU action, an FBI spokesman said, "The FBI does not investigate individuals or groups that are engaged in exercising their constitutional rights of freedom of expression.
He added, "Only if they are engaged in criminal activity in support of a cause would we be interested in them."

In its FOIA request, the ACLU asked for information on procedures used by the task forces for monitoring people based on their race, religious affiliation, organizational membership or participation in protest activities

is the story of a military veteran whistleblower. He spoke out against someone he thought was dangerous for the nation, talked to local newspapers, and appeared on talk shows. In return, he was vilified by reporters, threatened by a political operative, fired by his company, and now he's broke.

His name is Steve Gardner. He's also known as "The 10th Brother," as in Band of Brothers. He's one of two members of Sen. John Kerry's 12 Vietnam swift boat crew members who refused to stand with Kerry at the Democratic Convention. The other man remained silent.
"They said I had a political agenda. I had no and have no political agenda whatsoever. I saw John Kerry on television saying he was running for the Democratic nomination for president, and I knew I couldn't ever see him as commander in chief -- not after what I saw in Vietnam, not after the lies I heard him tell about what he says he did and what he says others did."
Gardner explains he was sitting at home in Clover, S.C., when he first saw Kerry on television. It was before the primary races. For 35 years, Gardner says, he hadn't talked about his tour of duty in Vietnam.

But when he saw Kerry talking about running, he says he got up, called the newspaper in town, called radio stations and "talked to anyone I could about why this man should never be president." Eventually he got a call from Adm. Roy Huffman, who had been in charge of the coastal division in Vietnam, reunited with other swift boat veterans, and the rest is, as they say, history.

Gardner's story is one that bears telling. He volunteered for the Navy, enlisting on his 18th birthday in February 1966. After training, he was shipped to Vietnam and served for two years as a gunner in the swift boat division. His superior, for four months, was none other than Lt. j.g. John F. Kerry.

As I have noted here before, embryonic stem cells show hardly no promise at all in real therapies whatsoever, embryonic stem cells produce mostly tumors, and rejection problems almost every time they are tried. On the other hand stem cells from umbilical chord blood have shown allot of promise for useful therapies and do not have any ethical strings attached to them.

This research just goes to further prove that point. Stem cells from umbilical chord blood are the most promising of all the stem cell research so far, and the surface is just being scratched and NO life was destroyed. Imagine that, both ethical and promising sounds like a win win to me. Embryonic stem cells are junk science and one of the sacred cows of liberal pro-choice crowd, money should be put where real results have been shown, and not where someones political agenda lies.

A South Korean woman paralyzed for 20 years is walking again after scientists say they repaired her damaged spine using stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood.
Hwang Mi-Soon, 37, had been bedridden since damaging her back in an accident two decades ago.

Last week her eyes glistened with tears as she walked again with the help of a walking frame at a press conference where South Korea researchers went public for the first time with the results of their stem-cell therapy.

Democrats set out to steal WA. governors race

The country dodged a repeat of the 2000 Florida election debacle this year because George W. Bush's margin in the decisive state of Ohio was 136,000 votes. But the one out of 50 Americans who live in Washington state are living through a Florida-style nightmare, with Republican Dino Rossi clinging to a 42-vote lead over Democrat Christine Gregoire in the governor's race after a machine recount of 2.8 million ballots. In the latest example of why this country needs to clean up and clarify its sloppy election systems, Douglas firs substitute for palm trees as the backdrop.
In Seattle's King County alone the vote counting so far has featured such anomalies as 10,000 ballots being mysteriously discovered nearly two weeks after Election Day, election officials "enhancing" hundreds of unreadable optical-scan ballots, and a judge allowing political partisans to selectively track down voters who cast questionable provisional ballots to see if they could turn them into valid votes. Ms. Gregoire gained several hundred votes through such maneuvers, so she has now declared her intention to pay for a hand recount of some of the state's precincts to see if she can take the lead. If a selective recount changes the overall winner, the state would pay for a laborious hand recount of all the votes The process could drag on past Christmas and might eventually have to be settled by the state Supreme Court. Gov. Gary Locke is scheduled to leave office on Jan. 12, but wags are already joking he shouldn't be pack his bags too soon.

As noted here previously Kofi Annan's son, Kojo, was the recipient of allot of checks from OFF contractors paid through Swiss bank accounts to him. In the latest tidbit of news we find out that Kojo Annan received $2,500.00 a month for many years up to the beginning of the year 2004. (hat tip LGF)

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The son of U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan got monthly payments more than four years longer than was previously known from a Swiss firm that won a lucrative contract under the scandal-ridden U.N. oil-for-food program, the United Nations said on Friday

Kojo Annan, the U.N. leader's son, was paid $2,500 monthly -- a total of $125,000 -- by Geneva-based Cotecna from the beginning of 2000 through last February, as part of an agreement not to compete with Cotecna in West Africa after he left the firm, U.N. chief spokesman Fred Eckhard said.

There have been no specific charges of wrongdoing on the part of the secretary-general in the world body's December 1998 award to Cotecna of a multimillion-dollar contract to monitor Iraqi imports under the oil-for-food program.

But the disclosure of the extra years of payments renewed questions about conflicts of interest and left Annan and his staff looking inept in their handling of the matter.

Inept is only one half of the words to describe the U.N.'s handling of this scam corrupt, is the word they are leaving out. The U.N. is (and already has in my view) becoming irrelevant. President Bush threw down the gauntlet in 2003 warning the U.N. that for them not to enforce their own resolutions will force them the way of irrelevancy, like the ill-fated League of Nations, and that warning is quickly coming to fruition. The U.N. is inherently opposed to the U.S. at its most basic of levels. The U.N. is a true majority rules Democracy in the likes that our forefathers warned us about, in other words no rule of law, just majority rules. They U.N has become socialist.

The U.S. on the other hand is a Representative Republic. Where the rule of law, the Constitution, is paramount. Laws cannot be made here that break the rule of law (the Constitution) without super majorities(2/3 of the House and Senate as well as 2/3 of the States) amending the Constitution. The U.N. on the other hand can change things by a simple majority vote, mob rules so to speak. Our forefathers in their wisdom knew the perils of this majority rules all Democracy and knew it led to major trouble even servitude. So the two entities are opposed at their very core. The U.S. supplies about 1/3 of the total resources of the U.N. (money and equipment) and yet a vote from the U.S. means no more than a vote from Tasmania, though we are their biggest cash-cow. We have Security Council veto power yes. but we can be over-ridden by a simple majority vote.

The U.N. solves no conflicts, and never has, it does not solve them do to its core nature, it simply backs one side of the conflict through a majority vote and the other side usually ends up getting wiped out IE, the Sudan and Rwanda, the U.N. is famous for propping up dictators. So this brings me to the heart of our problem with the U.N., Israel. The U.N. has passed more resolutions against Israel than any other nation, and the U.S. has vetoed them time and time again and was over-ridden by majority vote. Israel has not fallen from the U.N. backing every side but them because of two simple reasons. One, the Israelis resourcefulness, and Two, the backing of the United States,so, it has basically come down to the U.S. and Israel vs the world. I believe the U.S. will pull out of the U.N. soon probably before George Bush's second term is over, or the U.N. will collapse on itself. And the E.U. will take it over and restructure it, why do I believe this? It is all Biblical and it is unfolding before our very eyes. You can call me a Bible thumper if you want to but, you can go read it for yourself and it is all unfolding the way it was foretold many centuries ago. And soon it will truly be the U.S. and Israel against the world.

A summary on the Ukraine

This is my first attempt to blog on the events happening in the Ukraine, an interesting story, to say the least. A story that I am trying to follow, and, will try to make an attempt at a summary of. The events in the Ukraine are very tenuous, to say the very least. It starts like this. The current president of the Ukraine is Leonid Kuchma, who runs the Ukraine in the style of a somewhat oppressive autocratic oligarchy, and he is stepping down do to term limits and has hand picked a successor named Viktor Yanukovich. This part is important from what I can gather from what I have read from the Ukrainian bloggers, and elsewhere. The Ukraine is ruled by a series of clans of different social status, and power levels, and alliances to each other, and Kuchma and Yanukovich are tied together through that. It gets better yet; Russian president Vladimir Putin backs them also. Now the Ukraine’s opposition candidate is Viktor Yushchenko a pro-western Democracy candidate, backed by the western Democracies including the United States, and Yushchenko wants to set up a non- authoritarian more western Democratic rule. The election in the Ukraine was held (this is going to sound familiar to the U.S. election in some respects) and in early exit polling Yushchenko was ahead by a healthy margin. Basically the western half, and the center of the country went for Yushchenko and the eastern half went to Yanukovich but, there were some major problems.

The results have shown a victory for Yanukovich but there is very persuasive evidence of rampant voter fraud in the eastern part of the country, Yanukovich country, so to speak. With evidence of the numbers of votes coming in from the east that exceed the voting age population by substantial margins. And other charges of fraud such as votes being tossed out (sound familiar?). Many western election observers, including U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, who was there, have claimed the election was more than likely stolen from Yushchenko. So here in lies the multifaceted problem, Yushchenko’s people have taken to the streets in the tens of thousands to protest, including a general strike, and the blocking government buildings, as well as the shutting down of the countries transportation system. The countries police, the media, and military are controlled by Kuchma, but there have been some positive signs for example, the media voluntarily shut themselves down saying they would only come back to work, only if they were able to report the true news, not propaganda, and that was apparently agreed to.

There has been a breaking in the ranks of the police and the military as well, in Yushchenko’s favor and some militiamen are even said to have openly chanted "we are with the opposition, with the people". There are also allot of foreign dignitaries and media there now making a crackdown less likely. And also the Ukrainian Supreme Court has said it will review the election but, it is controlled by Kuchma. On the not so good side it is reported that, Vladimir Putin has offered and made ready “spretznaz” the Russian Special Forces to come in and help quell the rebellion, and there are some reports that the Russian troops have already entered the county. This news is most likely what provoked a response from the United States through Collin Powell to the Ukrainian president. Where Powell sharply criticized the election results and pretty clearly stated the U.S. position on the matter in a press conference, and in a way that will most likely not sit well with Vladimir Putin, and the already strained relations the U.S. and Russia have. Though Powell's statement has helped to further inspire the Ukrainian people that are protesting and back Yushchenko. Here is Powell’s statement.

“The United States is deeply disturbed by extensive and credible indications of fraud committed in the Ukrainian presidential election. We strongly support efforts to review the conduct of the election and urge Ukrainian authorities not to certify results until investigations of organized fraud are resolved. We call on the Government of Ukraine to respect the will of the Ukrainian people, and we urge all Ukrainians to resolve the situation through peaceful means. The Government bears a special responsibility not to use or incite violence, and to allow free media to report accurately on the situation without intimidation or coercion. The United States stands with the Ukrainian people in this difficult time.”

Putin and Russia have a vested interest in the Ukraine as an ally in the rebuilding of their “super power status” in the world. Russia has lost working relationships with so many former Soviet provinces that loosing the Ukraine; a rather large province, would put a wrench in their plans, and their status in the world. Hopefully it will end peacefully many foreign leaders are there now from surrounding countries most notably Lech Walensa former Polish labor party leader, and President. With all the scrutiny that is now happening maybe it will turn out for the best, I hope so. Zarqawi puts out S.O.S. on the Internet

Inhuman Terrorist thug Abu Mussib Al Zarqawi has posted what could be called a scorning, and a distress call, on an audio tape posted on a terrorist web site. In the tape, Zarqawi is heard blaming Islamic clerics for abandoning him and his "brothers" to the hands of Americans and the new Iraqi government.

Denying the terrorist thugs a place to work and plan for there atrocities seems to be working, they will be forced to launch smaller and smaller attacks if they are denied sanctuary in their hotbed cities. They may even be forced to retreat back to Syria, Jordan, or Iran in which case methods can be employed to keep them on their side of the border, as well as, political pressure and the thought of possible U.S. retaliation, may give them less than enthusiastic support in some of those countries. In any effect, it will make the terrorists efforts more difficult.

BAGHDAD — Sunni insurgents backing Abu Mussib Al Zarqawi have expressed alarm at the prospect of a defeat by the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq.

An audio tape said to be from Al Zarqawi charged Muslim clerics with letting down the insurgency "because of your silence."

On Wednesday, Al Zarqawi, with a $25 million bounty on his head, was the target of a major manhunt in the Sunni Triangle, Middle East Newsline reported. Iraqi military sources said Al Zarqawi was said to have been seen in an area south of Fallujah.

Islamic sources said that for the first time in more than a year the Tawhid and Jihad group led by Al Zarqawi appears to have lost control over many of its insurgents in the Sunni Triangle.
The sources said Iraqi and U.S. assaults on major insurgency strongholds in such cities as Baghdad, Fallujah, Mosul, Ramadi and Samara have resulted in heavy insurgency casualties and a break in the command and control structure.

Over the last few days, Al Zarqawi supporters have appealed for help from Al Qaida and related groups. The sources said Al Qaida's allies, including the Salafist Brigade for Combat and Call, have sought to increase recruitment of Muslim volunteers to fight the coalition.
The Internet has also reflected the growing concern that Islamic insurgents would be routed in Iraq. A message posted on an Islamic website appealed for help from Islamic insurgents in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Pakistan and the Palestinian Authority.

The message, posted by a purported insurgency supporter who used the name Abu Ahmed Al Baghdadi, acknowledged that the Sunni insurgency has been harmed by the U.S.-led offensive in Fallujah. Al Baghdadi said insurgents have lost their haven in Fallujah, but asserted that Al Zarqawi has acquired a broader base for operations and recruitment.
For his part, Al Zarqawi has also expressed concern over the U.S. military operation against Fallujah, Mosul and other insurgency strongholds.

Declaration of Independence banned from California grade school for mentioning God

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A California teacher has been barred by his school from giving students documents from American history that refer to God -- including the Declaration of Independence.

Steven Williams, a fifth-grade teacher at Stevens Creek School in the San Francisco Bay area suburb of Cupertino, sued for discrimination on Monday, claiming he had been singled out for censorship by principal Patricia Vidmar because he is a Christian.

"It's a fact of American history that our founders were religious men, and to hide this fact from young fifth-graders in the name of political correctness is outrageous and shameful," said Williams' attorney, Terry Thompson.

"Williams wants to teach his students the true history of our country," he said. "There is nothing in the Establishment Clause (of the U.S. Constitution) that prohibits a teacher from showing students the Declaration of Independence."

Vidmar could not be reached for comment on the lawsuit, which was filed on Monday in U.S. District Court in San Jose and claims violations of Williams rights to free speech under the First Amendment.

The teacher is correct, our forefathers were deeply religious men not secularists as the moonbats want you to think. Our forefathers often invoked the name of God and openly prayed in meetings of government and State. The separation of Church and State simply put, was to avoid a State sponsored religion such as the Church of England, or in more modern times the fascist Islamic states that now exist. The forefathers never meant for this complete quashing of religion in the public domain, such as school prayer or praying on the Senate floor. They simply wanted all religions protected, and not to have the government ran by any particular religion. You can be religious and be in government you just can not impose your beliefs onto others or onto all.

The very mention of the word "God" invokes fear in the hearts of liberals so I would like to ask them why, even though I already know. Many of our laws are rooted in religious teachings such as the Ten Commandments. They are common sense rules about morals, and how to treat your fellow man. The true story of Thanksgiving is not at all what most of us were taught in school. In most schools we are taught that the Indians saved the pilgrims and the pilgrims basically re-paid them by wiping them out through war and disease, that the pilgrims were bloodthirsty, imperialist, white men who came over to kill, rape and plunder this pristine land. Well that is the liberal lefts version anyway, and the version that is taught the most. The true story is here, thanks to Rush Limbaugh for providing it.

The story of the Pilgrims begins in the early part of the seventeenth century (that's the 1600s for those of you in Rio Linda, California). The Church of England under King James I was persecuting anyone and everyone who did not recognize its absolute civil and spiritual authority. Those who challenged ecclesiastical authority and those who believed strongly in freedom of worship were hunted down, imprisoned, and sometimes executed for their beliefs. A group of separatists first fled to Holland and established a community. After eleven years, about forty of them agreed to make a perilous journey to the New World, where they would certainly face hardships, but could live and worship God according to the dictates of their own consciences. On August 1, 1620, the Mayflower set sail. It carried a total of 102 passengers, including forty Pilgrims led by William Bradford. On the journey, Bradford set up an agreement, a contract, that established just and equal laws for all members of the new community, irrespective of their religious beliefs. Where did the revolutionary ideas expressed in the Mayflower Compact come from? From the Bible. "The Pilgrims were a people completely steeped in the lessons of the Old and New Testaments. They looked to the ancient Israelites for their example. And, because of the biblical precedents set forth in Scripture, they never doubted that their experiment would work. But this was no pleasure cruise, friends. The journey to the New World was a long and arduous one. And when the Pilgrims landed in New England in November, they found, according to Bradford's detailed journal, a cold, barren, desolate wilderness. There were no friends to greet them, he wrote. There were no houses to shelter them. There were no inns where they could refresh themselves. And the sacrifice they had made for freedom was just beginning. During the first winter, half the Pilgrims – including Bradford's own wife – died of either starvation, sickness or exposure.

When spring finally came, Indians taught the settlers how to plant corn, fish for cod and skin beavers for coats. Life improved for the Pilgrims, but they did not yet prosper! "This is important to understand because this is where modern American history lessons often end. Thanksgiving is actually explained in some textbooks as a holiday for which the Pilgrims gave thanks to the Indians for saving their lives, rather than as a devout expression of gratitude grounded in the tradition of both the Old and New Testaments. Here is the part that has been omitted: The original contract the Pilgrims had entered into with their merchant-sponsors in London called for everything they produced to go into a common store, and each member of the community was entitled to one common share. All of the land they cleared and the houses they built belong to the community as well. Bradford, who had become the new governor of the colony, recognized that this form of collectivism was as costly and destructive to the Pilgrims as that first harsh winter, which had taken so many lives. "He decided to take bold action. Bradford assigned a plot of land to each family to work and manage, thus turning loose the power of the marketplace.

That's right. Long before Karl Marx was even born, the Pilgrims had discovered and experimented with what could only be described as socialism. And what happened? It didn't work! Surprise, surprise, huh? What Bradford and his community found was that the most creative and industrious people had no incentive to work any harder than anyone else, unless they could utilize the power of personal motivation! But while most of the rest of the world has been experimenting with socialism for well over a hundred years – trying to refine it, perfect it, and re-invent it – the Pilgrims decided early on to scrap it permanently. What Bradford wrote about this social experiment should be in every schoolchild's history lesson If it were, we might prevent much needless suffering in the future."

And in continuing Thanksgiving was made an official holiday in 1789 by an act of congress and was set forth officially in this proclamation by our first president George Washington. Contrary to what we have been told and taught this is a holiday for giving thanks to GOD and the blessings and mercies he has bestowed on this great nation. This was the intent of our forefathers and it can be clearly seen in Washington’s proclamation. Our forefathers were, many of them, deeply religious men and not secularists as we have been made to believe. UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United Nations is investigating about 150 allegations of sexual abuse by U.N. civilian staff and soldiers in the Congo, some of them recorded on videotape, a senior U.N. official said on Monday.

The accusations include pedophilia, rape and prostitution, said Jane Holl Lute, an assistant secretary-general in the peacekeeping department.

Lute, an American, said there was photographic and video evidence for some of the allegations and most of the charges came to light since the spring.
"We are shining a light on this problem in order to determine its scope, and we will not stop there," Lute told a news conference.
She did not say if 150 different people were involved but indicated some suspects committed more than one offense.

In May the United Nations reported some 30 cases of abuse among peacekeepers in the northeastern town of Bunia, where half of the more than 10,000 soldiers are stationed.
Last month, one French soldier and two Tunisian soldiers were sent home, U.N. officials said. Three U.N. civilian staff were suspended.

The United Nations has jurisdiction over its civilian staff but troops are contributed by individual nations. Consequently, the world body has only the power to demand a specific country repatriate an accused soldier and punish him or her at home.

Jean-Marie Guehenno, the U.N. undersecretary-general for peacekeeping, went to the sprawling central African country, formally called the Democratic Republic of the Congo, last month. He has promised an overhaul of staff discipline.

Brittan thwarts 9/11 style attack

AFP is reporting that Brittan has thwarted a major 9/11 style attack on their homeland. The plot apparently involved crashing planes into Heathrow airport among other sites.

LONDON (AFP) - British security services have foiled an Al-Qaeda plot to fly planes into targets in London in a September 11-style attack, Britain's independent ITV News network reported.

"This is the story of what could have been a nightmare averted," said ITV's political editor Nick Robinson. "A story not of failure, but of success."

"That, at least, is what I am told by a senior authoritative source who says that the security services managed to avert a plot to fly planes into Canary Wharf here, and also into Heathrow Airport," he said.

"I simply do not know the details of how they found out, how they stopped it, how close the plot got, but I am in no doubt that this was a genuine feeling on the behalf of those in the security services that they had managed to foil a plot and make us safer," he added.

ITV News confirmed to AFP that their journalist's "non-attributable source" was in "the arena" of the security services or government, but would not be specific.
Britain's Home Office and London's Metropolitan Police declined to comment on the report.

President Bush turned around and pulled the agent inside away from the interfering Chilean police. SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) - President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.

Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. The incident happened after Bush and his wife, Laura, had just posed for pictures on a red carpet with the host of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife, Luisa Duran.

As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. Stopping for more pictures, Bush noticed the fracas and turned back. He reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum and into the building.

UPDATE: On further thinking on this I think this possibly was much more devious of an act than the reports suggest and judging from the White House reaction to cancel the dinner plans for the next day in favor of a smaller more secure setting. I think the Secret Service smelled a trap, an attempted assassination maybe? Chile is very anti-American and very vocal in their opposition to the war in Iraq. There are allot of people who do not like the President or his policies and would like to see him dead. So was this just maybe an attempt to do it? I think this should be investigated. It is highly unusual to block a foreign dignitary’s security personnel to say the least.

There is allot of hullabaloo about the shakeup at the CIA, that tends to happen when partisan hack bureaucrats are loosing their jobs. The CIA has had an agenda especially since Tenant was let go to destroy George Bush. Even to the point of publishing a book under the title of anonymous titled “Imperial Hubris “ by CIA annalist Michael Scheuer. Scheuer has said he was given carte blanche to talk to the media as long as it attacked the Bush administration The CIA is loaded with Clintonista leftists and no longer functions as an intelligence agency but more as a political organization bent on undermining the President. The CIA continually has leaked information several times in order to undermine the President especially during the election and many of their high level operatives were silently supporting even contributing to the Kerry campaign.

The latest stink (a smart move by Goss) is of an internal memo in which Goss calls on the agency to ”support the Presidents policies” Gee imagine that, the CIA should actually help the President, why that’s preposterous. First off, how do we know about an “internal memo” at the CIA? Because it was leaked maybe? The bottom line is the CIA as it exists now is a rouge organization, with lousy intelligence, and an agenda from the left to run its own foreign policy, and undermine the administration not only on foreign policy but domestic policy also. Goss is cleaning house (and its long overdue) and what we are hearing is the fighting back, moans and groans of a leftist institution that is about to go the way of the dodo, and it is about time it happened. Good job Mr. Goss, and keep up the good work.

A Marine writes home

This is one of the best posts I have seen on the situation of the Marine shooting. (he was justified in the shooting, period) It is a letter from a Marine currently serving in the 11th MEU. The post is at Powerline, I don't usually copy other blogs posts, but I am making an exception with this one, because I feel it needs to be read.

This is one story of many that people normally don't hear, and one that everyone does.

This is one most don't hear:A young Marine and his cover man cautiously enter a room just recently filled with insurgents armed with Ak-47's and RPG's. There are three dead, another wailing in pain. The insurgent can be heard saying, "Mister, mister! Diktoor, diktoor(doctor)!" He is badly wounded, lying in a pool of his own blood. The Marine and his cover man slowly walk toward the injured man, scanning to make sure no enemies come from behind. In a split second, the pressure in the room greatly exceeds that of the outside, and the concussion seems to be felt before the blast is heard. Marines outside rush to the room, and look in horror as the dust gradually settles. The result is a room filled with the barely recognizable remains of the deceased, caused by an insurgent setting off several pounds of explosives.

The Marines' remains are gathered by teary eyed comrades, brothers in arms, and shipped home in a box. The families can only mourn over a casket and a picture of their loved one, a life cut short by someone who hid behind a white flag.
But no one hears these stories, except those who have lived to carry remains of a friend, and the families who loved the dead. No one hears this, so no one cares.

This is the story everyone hears:

One lies on the floor in puddle of blood, another against the wall. A reporter and his camera survey the wreckage inside, and in the background can be heard the voice of a Marine, "He's moving, he's moving!"
The pop of a rifle is heard, and the insurgent against the wall is now dead. Minutes, hours later, the scene is aired on national television, and the Marine is being held for commiting a war crime. Unlawful killing.

And now, another Marine has the possibility of being burned at the stake for protecting the life of his brethren. His family now wrings their hands in grief, tears streaming down their face. Brother, should I have been in your boots, i too would have done the same.
For those of you who don't know, we Marines, Band of Brothers, Jarheads, Leathernecks, etc., do not fight because we think it is right, or thinkit is wrong. We are here for the man to our left, and the man to our right. We choose to give our lives so that the man or woman next to us can go home and see their husbands, wives, children, friends and families.

For those of you who sit on your couches in front of your television, and choose to condemn this man's actions, I have but one thing to say to you. Get out of your recliner, lace up my boots, pick up a rifle, leave your family behind and join me. See what I've seen, walk where I have walked. To those of you who support us, my sincerest gratitude. You keep us alive.

When U.S. President George W. Bush arrives in Ottawa — probably later this year — should he be welcomed? Or should he be charged with war crimes?
It's an interesting question. On the face of it, Bush seems a perfect candidate for prosecution under Canada's Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act.

This act was passed in 2000 to bring Canada's ineffectual laws in line with the rules of the new International Criminal Court. While never tested, it lays out sweeping categories under which a foreign leader like Bush could face arrest.
In particular, it holds that anyone who commits a war crime, even outside Canada, may be prosecuted by our courts. What is a war crime? According to the statute, it is any conduct defined as such by "customary international law" or by conventions that Canada has adopted.

War crimes also specifically include any breach of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, such as torture, degradation, wilfully depriving prisoners of war of their rights "to a fair and regular trial," launching attacks "in the knowledge that such attacks will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians" and deportation of persons from an area under occupation.

Outside of one well-publicized (and quickly squelched) attempt in Belgium, no one has tried to formally indict Bush. But both Oxfam International and the U.S. group Human Rights Watch have warned that some of the actions undertaken by the U.S. and its allies, particularly in Iraq, may fall under the war crime rubric.

Hassan's family in London said the longtime director of CARE in Iraq was likely the victim, and British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said analysis of the video showed Hassan has "probably been murdered, although we cannot conclude this with complete certainty

Get the facts before this Marine is judged

More on the Marine shooting in Iraq. Apparently the situation was as follows. The video is here.

The Marines had previously attacked the mosque in question killed some terrorists, and treated the wounded terrorists and moved on. A second Marine patrol came through and was told the mosque was re-occupied so the second detachment went into the mosque to clear it and killed two more terrorists. They swept the mosque and re-grouped in the main room. Two important things to remember here. First the Marine that shot the wounded terrorist was shot in the face himself a day earlier. Second that platoon of Marines had just suffered the loss of one of their own a day or two before when a Marine went to help a wounded terrorist and the body was booby trapped and exploded killing the Marine and the terrorist. The Marines re-grouped in the main room and were informing each other of what they found. The terrorist apparently was starting to move and the Marines realized he was “playing dead” as they said. Not taking any chances the Marine fired one-shot killing the terrorist. These people are lower than animals from booby-trapped bodies to sawing people’s heads off, to call the “militants” or “insurgents” is simply deceptive and disgusting they are terrorists and that is that.

Bottom line, this is war the Marines actions are justified, ten thousand terrorists are not worth one hair on any Marines head. This is combat, not some police action; unlike the police the military do not need all the proof of eminent danger to kill someone in a combat situation. Just ask John Kerry he shot a wounded fleeing Viet Cong teenager in the back. And Kerry was justified in doing so, as even the Swift Boat Vets have said, that point was not even argued just Kerry’s version of the account was.

This whole thing has a much darker purpose one the left and their willing accomplices in the mainstream media have had for a long time now. And that purpose is to attack George Bush and his policies on the war on terror, to take him down by any means necessary America and the truth is damned. The criminal liberal media along with the left have their elitist agenda and unfortunately, that has become what is bad for America is good for them, embarrass America and the president by any means necessary. The left, and the media with their ignorant antics just make things worse for America by releasing this garbage for all to see.

This should not even be an issue, the Marine was justified, this is war and war is tough and if this Marine is thrown to the sacrificial liberal media alter for sacrifice it would be a national tragedy of the highest order. This Marine is already being tried in the media before any facts are found. 1. Just a day or two earlier within this Marines company, a corpsman was killed by a booby trapped wounded terrorist while the corpsman tried to help him.

2. A Marine or any other military personnel has a much different job than a cop. A cop is only to kill as last resort, a soldier is suppose to kill the enemy.

3. The whole story is not out yet and an investigation is underway. The Marine should be given the benefit of the doubt and NOT tried in the media. None of us know what the terrorist was doing and if the terrorist was acting suspicious at all the Marine is justified. How well do you think a wounded Marine would be treated by the terrorists if the situation were reversed?

The mainstream media is insufferable. The terrorist mutilate and murder innocents and kill our troops all while our own media goes out of their way to undermine America in our war effort. It is no secret that the CIA is in desperate need of a restructuring. In a nutshell the CIA was restructured under the Clinton administration and filled with liberal Democrats in key positions that have obstructed the president. Illinois bill seeks spare parts from aborted and cloned fetuses for experimentation

Living in Illinois this one hits home. House bill 3589 is seeking to allow the use of cloned embryos and aborted fetuses for embryonic stem cell research. The bill tries to cleverly disguise itself as an adult stem cell research bill with the disgusting immoral part of the bill hidden in the fancy language of “that research involving the derivation and use of human embryonic stem cells...from any source, including somatic cell nuclear transplantation, shall be permitted.” So in layman terms’ “cloning” this is the same method in which “Dolly” the sheep was cloned.

So the framers of this bill not only intend to get stem cells from “any source” IE aborted fetuses. They also intend to create fetuses to destroy for the purposes of experimentation, in effect creating a never-ending supply of aborted and destroyed fetuses to experiment on. This bill plays on the ignorance of stem cell research in the public domain, Many accredited researchers on both sides of this argument know that embryonic stem cell research is a dead end street, that no promising results have came of it to date.

Promising results have come from adult stem cells and stem calls derived from umbilical chord blood. But to date embryonic stem cells have produced mostly mutations and malignancies and have not shown anywhere near the promising results of the aforementioned research. Many political leaders from both political parties have spoken out against the ethical implications of human cloning, and efforts have been undertaken to ban it completely. Also note how this bill ties into abortion another back door way of guaranteeing it stays legal. Is it ethical to destroy one life to try to save another? What about the many mutations cloning creates? Should doctors be playing God? What value does this insidious bill place on human life? The answer is it places no value on human life whatsoever, and equates human life to the same level as a lab rat.

I am encouraging all who live in Illinois who read this to call your state Senator and Congressman as well as our illustrious Governor and say NO to this outrageous bill. You can find your representatives here let them know that human life still has value and should not be crassly tossed aside in the name of junk science and as a back door way to appease the pro- choice crowd.

Former president Jimmy Carter is nothing more than a national embarrassment in my book. Most of us already know he has gone head first over the loony cliff along time ago. But Carter is more embarrassing every time he opens his clueless mouth. Mr. Carter shows he is as much of a patriotic American, as, he is a historian. (Saying earlier this year on MSNBC that the Revolutionary war was avoidable, and, that except for modern times, our bloodiest war, ah Jimmy, that would be the civil war you dunderhead) Mr. Carter is, along with the rest of the world’s socialists (IE Jacques Chirac, Koffe Anan) spouting out the praises of the bloody terrorist murderer, Yasser Arafat.

Arafat has allot of blood on his hands American, Israeli and countless others, and, this is the man Mr. Carter admires calling Arafat “The father of the modern Palestinian nationalist movement” yea right, father of modern terrorism is more accurate. I suppose in "Carter world" Arafat and other terrorists are "powerful human symbols"and "revolutionaries", but the Republicans, the president, and his fellow citizens that agree with them are contemptible. All this incoherent babble by the lefties of “succession” and “people in red states are stupid” along with “the red states are the same states that had slavery” as if, we will realistically return to it again. And of course, lest we forget “this is all the fault of the evangelical Christians and homophobes” All of this psychotic rhetoric is just completely un- American nonsense, as well as a completely clueless point of view. The left is pissing on themselves in their delusional minds wondering, “What went wrong” as if they had a God given right to win.

Well, nothing went wrong you condescending clueless twits, we do not agree with you and your twisted socialist agenda and guess what, we are the majority. You would think the left would grow up, and quit crying and whining like little babies because, being a sore looser is very un-becoming, as well as juvenile. Didn't they learn that in grade school? You would think for being the so- called “enlightened and educated people “ they, the left, would figure that out. Democrats get a grip; you are no longer Democrats, Harry Truman. John Kennedy, and FDR were Democrats, your just socialists hiding behind a political label. Those great presidents would not even recognize your party now, nor be likely to support it in the current state the Party exists now. Well just who are the dumb ones here, certainly not the Republicans we have been winning most of the elections as well as winning over most of the people.

I find it hard to believe that over 59 million people were brainwashed so, could it be that Republicans might, just might, be better in touch with the electorate? And could it be that maybe, just maybe, the electorate is not so dumb? And that the electorate will not have issues dictated to them by Democrats or liberal activist judges legislating from the bench? Democrats ignore these realities at their own peril. And as far as the Europeans go, the majority of Americans could care less what the Europeans and the corrupt and bribed U.N. think so, get that through your thick Democratic skulls to. Americans will not be dictated to by a bunch of elitist jerks that arrogantly and wrongly consider themselves superior.

The pity party is getting old, Democrats need to have a reality check and quit blaming everyone else for their own pathetic failings. Just when you thought the lefties could not cry about anything else. There cries of succession from the union, leaving the country, and “red state” people are stupid. Now they have to have their own physiological disorder. “Post Election Selection Trauma” and they compare it to “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”. More proof than ever the left is screwed up beyond hope, and out of their minds.

Boca Raton News reported Tuesday that Palm Beach, Florida trauma specialist Douglas Schooler alone has already treated 15 clients and friends with intense hypnotherapy since the Democratic candidate conceded on November 3.
"I had one friend tell me he's never been so depressed and angry in his life," Schooler said. "I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated," he told the daily.
"We're calling it 'post-election selection trauma' and we're working to develop a counseling program for it," said Rob Gordon, the Boca Raton-based executive director of the American Health Association.
"It's like post-traumatic stress syndrome, but it's a short-term shock rather than a childhood trauma," he told the daily.

In the Times latest vile article of hate they basically call for the Presidents death. Explaining how these, as they say “acts of God” have happened to Presidents before.

A LITTLE more than a month before he was assassinated, Abraham Lincoln stood at the east portico of the Capitol and delivered his second inaugural address. It was a brief speech with a distinctly religious message: he twice cited biblical verses, and made a dozen references to God, most strikingly in assessing the opposing sides in the Civil War.
"Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and each invokes His aid against the other," Lincoln said. "It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God's assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces, but let us judge not, that we be not judged. The prayers of both could not be answered. That of neither has been answered fully. The Almighty has His own purposes."
The address was roundly criticized in some newspapers for overstepping the bounds separating church and state. But Lincoln was using God to debunk government-by-God.
Now, with George W. Bush's re-election, God and a newly triumphant Republican president are once again in the headlines. And there are signs that the present national divide, between the narrow but solid Republican majority and a Democratic party seemingly trapped in second place, may be hardening into a pattern that will persist for years to come.
Democrats, especially, are left to wonder: What will it take to break the pattern - an act of God?
History suggests several possibilities for a major reshaping event - a national calamity, a deep schism in the ruling party, the implosion of a social movement under the excesses of its own agenda or the emergence of an extraordinary political figure.
Lincoln became president and the Republicans first took national power when the Democrats tore themselves and the nation apart over slavery and secession. Another national trauma, the Great Depression, produced a sweeping realignment in favor of the Democrats and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Religious revivals and movements have also gusted periodically through American politics, sometimes reshaping the landscape as they go, said Susan Jacoby, author of "Freethinkers: A History of American Secularism." But she said it was not easy to find a historical blueprint for the current situation, with the religious right forming the core of Mr. Bush's majority.
The closest parallel, Ms. Jacoby said, might be the Christian temperance movement. It eventually "defeated itself," she said, with the absolutism of Prohibition, which spawned outlandish bootlegging and crime problems and made lawbreaking fashionable. The Depression eventually pushed joblessness and poverty ahead of temperance on the social agenda.
Even so, Ms. Jacoby said, that religious-political movement, smaller than the one swelling behind Mr. Bush, took decades to play itself out, and was not linked to a single party, as the Christian right is now. "What we have today is an unprecedented situation in American history, in terms of the willingness of a large number of people, backed up by the president, who want to infuse more religion into government," Ms. Jacoby said.
Sean Wilentz, a professor of history at Princeton, saw two instances in history when the American electoral landscape resembled that of today. "They are kind of scary examples," Professor Wilentz said. "One is 1860, and we know what happened after that one, and the other was 1896, the McKinley-Bryan election."
That contest, which seemed to herald a new era of Republican dominance, also started a chain of events that led to a disastrous schism in the party. William McKinley, a conservative Republican, defeated William Jennings Bryan, a populist Democrat, and won the first clear popular majority in 24 years. He beat Bryan even more soundly in 1900, but less than a year later, he was assassinated.
His death was a tragedy and a fluke, Professor Wilentz said, but it changed the course of political history. Had McKinley not been killed, Marcus A. Hanna, the political handler who was as instrumental to McKinley's success as Karl Rove has been to Mr. Bush's, would have pursued his dream of "creating a Republican machine that would go on forever," Professor Wilentz said.
Instead, Theodore Roosevelt became president, and pursued progressive policies at home and power projection abroad. "What followed shifted the Republican Party in a direction it had not planned to go, and created the groundwork for 1912 and eventually the New Deal," Professor Wilentz said. When his successor, William H. Taft, turned back to conservatism, Roosevelt ran against him in 1912 on the Progressive, or Bull Moose, ticket, and split the Republican Party, yielding the White House to the Democrats and Woodrow Wilson.
"One can't imagine what American history might have looked like had McKinley continued to the end of his second term," Professor Wilentz said.
Similarly, George Wallace stormed out of the Democratic Party in the 1960's over desegregation and states' rights, and took many conservative Southerners with him, weakening the party's hold on a region that has since turned solidly Republican.
A split like those could happen again. The war in Iraq could become so unpopular that it would dog Mr. Bush and the Republicans the way that the Vietnam War did President Johnson and the Democrats. Fault lines are already visible in the Republican party between social and fiscal conservatives, and they could split open.
Another realigning event could be the emergence of a paladin in the Democratic Party, a charismatic or heroic figure who could rise above ordinary politics, reinvent the party's popular appeal and break through the Republican fortress to capture some of Mr. Bush's support. Given the modern political realities - no Northern Democrat has won an absolute majority of the popular vote since F.D.R. - "that hero better have a drawl," said John J. Pitney Jr., a professor of government at Claremont McKenna College.
Or, as occurred in the early 20th century, new waves of immigrants entering the electorate could tip the scales heavily toward one party or the other.
Such tectonic shifts, though, are rare - or at least, shifts that are sustained for more than an election cycle or two. Bill Clinton was a charismatic Democrat who managed to win the White House for two terms, but afterward it slipped back to the Republicans; Dwight D. Eisenhower broke a 20-year Democratic monopoly in 1952, but John F. Kennedy retook the White House in 1960.
Not every nation-shaking event alters the political landscape. Contrary to the conventional wisdom, Philip Klinkner, a professor of government at Hamilton College, said the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, do not seem to qualify as a realigning event. Though Mr. Bush made a point during the campaign of telling voters how much Sept. 11 had changed him, there was little sign that the attacks had a significant effect on voting patterns this year, Professor Klinkner said.
"It is really incremental movement," he said of Mr. Bush's re-election. "The correlation between the vote in 2000 and 2004 was about as high as any pair of elections since the late 19th century. Essentially, Bush did 3 percentage points better this time, and he did so everywhere."
Nonetheless, Bruce E. Cain, the director of the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, said there was no doubt that Mr. Bush had himself remade the political equation, ensuring Republican dominance "for the foreseeable future."
Call them cultural, values or religious issues, Professor Cain said, they have fallen overwhelmingly into Republican hands. The Democrats are still capable of winning the presidency if the Republicans trip up, but they are decidedly on the wrong side of "the dominant paradigm" in American politics, he said.
"Bush has done what no religious leader in the past has been able to do," Professor Cain said. "He has united the Protestants and the Catholics."
That Mr. Bush won by a relatively narrow margin matters little in a historical context, Professor Cain and others said. Lincoln, who oversaw the most radical political break in American history, was elected with just 39.8 percent of the popular vote in 1860.
Yet David R. Mayhew, a professor of political science at Yale, cautioned against reading too much into any of the numbers. Mr. Bush's victory could be seen as extraordinary - the first time a president won re-election after failing to win the popular vote in his first term - or as commonplace, since two-thirds of presidents who have sought re-election have won.
"I think this is mostly an ebb-and-flow election," Professor Mayhew said.
Professor Wilentz of Princeton said that even if the 2004 victory was an incremental one, that should not comfort the Democrats. He said Mr. Rove and Mr. Bush now have a chance to do what Hanna and McKinley never did: Lay the foundation for lasting Republican dominance.
"The Republicans are basically unchecked," Professor Wilentz said. "There is no check in the federal government and no check in the world. They have an unfettered playing field."
Until the next act of God, that is.

To ignore and denigrate the majority of the electorate will not get liberals very far. And one would think that after loosing 5 out of 7 of the last national elections, as well as the majority of the House and Senate would have shown them something. So this brings me to my point. The clueless Maureen Dowd has found out why the Democrats lost, it was of course none other than the evil maniacal genius Karl Rove. You had better get your tin foil hat on Maureen or the evil Rove mind control waves might get in, or, you may be tracked down by Ashcroft's secret police and sent of to one of the Bush re-education camps in the desert that liberal Waco’s keep warning us of. Maureen, do yourself a favor quit hanging around the DU and KOS and get out of your liberal fantasyland and go talk to some sane people, and get a grip on reality.

Even as a high school debater in Salt Lake City, "Rove didn't just want to win; he wanted the opponents destroyed," write James Moore and Wayne Slater in "Bush's Brain." "He would defeat them, slaughter them and humiliate them."
The Boy Genius, as W. calls him, the "architect" who helped him get the second term he dearly wanted to surpass his father, is happy to crush the liberal elites inspired by Kennedy's New Frontier under the steamroller of 19th-century family values.
Like the president, vice president and defense secretary, General Karl wanted to wipe out the gray, if-it-feels-good-do-it, blame-America-first, doused-in-Vietnam-guilt 60's and turn the clock back to the black-and-white Manichaean values of the 50's.
W. and Karl played up western movie stereotypes. After 9/11, the rugged frontier myth, the hunter/Indian-fighter hero in a war of civilization against savagery worked better than ever. But this White House's frontier is not a place of infinite progress and expansion, stretching society's boundaries. It doesn't battle primitivism; it courts primitivism.
Instead of the New Frontier, Karl and W. offer the New Backtier.
Even as a child, I could feel the rush of J.F.K.'s presidency racing forward, opening up a thrilling world of possibilities and modernity. We were going to the moon. We were confronting racial intolerance. We were paying any price and bearing any burden for freedom. We were respecting faith but keeping it out of politics. Our president was inspiring much of the world. Our first lady was setting the pace in style and culture.
W.'s presidency rushes backward, stifling possibilities, stirring intolerance, confusing church with state, blowing off the world, replacing science with religion, and facts with faith. We're entering another dark age, more creationist than cutting edge, more premodern than postmodern. Instead of leading America to an exciting new reality, the Bushies cocoon in a scary, paranoid, regressive reality. Their new health care plan will probably be a return to leeches.
America has always had strains of isolationism, nativism, chauvinism, puritanism and religious fanaticism. But most of our leaders, even our devout presidents, have tried to keep these impulses under control. Not this crew. They don't call to our better angels; they summon our nasty devils.

Jimmy Carter won the evangelical vote in 1976, and he won it in Ohio. He combined his evangelical appeal with a call for social justice, integrating his church and laboring for world peace. But W. appealed to that vote's most crabbed insecurities - the disparaging of the other, the fear of those godless hedonists in the blue states out to get them and their families. And the fear of scientific progress, as with stem cell research.
When William Jennings Bryan took up combating the theory of evolution, he did it because he despised the social Darwinists who used the theory to justify the "survival of the fittest" in capitalism. Bryan hated anything that justified an economic system that crushed poor workers and farmers, and he hated that the elites would claim there was scientific basis for keeping society divided and unequal.

The new evangelicals challenge science because they've been stirred up to object to social engineering on behalf of society's most vulnerable: the poor, the sick, the sexually different.
Yet the Bush conservatives do their own social engineering. They thought they could toughen up the American character with the invasion of Iraq. Now they want to reshape the country on "moral" issues - though their morality seems to allow them to run a campaign full of blatant distortions and character assassination, and to mislead the public about the war.
Back in 1994, Newt Gingrich said he wanted the government to mold the moral character of Americans and wipe out remnants of the "counterculture McGoverniks." He got derailed, but now he and his pious friends are back in full cry, messing with our psyches and excluding themselves from the rules they demand others follow. They'll eventually do themselves in, but will they do us in first?

The big question after Tuesday was: will it just be more of the same in George W Bush's second term, or will there be a change of tone? And apparently it's the latter. The great European thinkers have decided that instead of doing another four years of lame Bush-is-a-moron cracks they're going to do four years of lame Americans-are-morons cracks. Inaugurating the new second-term outreach was Brian Reade in the Daily Mirror, who attributed the President's victory to: "The self-righteous, gun-totin', military-lovin', sister-marryin', abortion-hatin', gay-loathin', foreigner-despisin', non-passport-ownin' rednecks, who believe God gave America the biggest dick in the world so it could urinate on the rest of us and make their land 'free and strong'."

Well, that's certainly why I supported Bush, but I'm not sure it entirely accounts for the other 59,459,765. Forty five per cent of Hispanics voted for the President, as did 25 per cent of Jews, and 23 per cent of gays. And this coalition of common-or-garden rednecks, Hispanic rednecks, sinister Zionist rednecks, and lesbian rednecks who enjoy hitting on their gay-loathin' sisters expanded its share of the vote across the entire country - not just in the Bush states but in the Kerry states, too.

Distraught liberal, first victim of re-election

One distraught liberal decided to go even further and shoot himself at ground zero in New York. Yea, the left are truly the enlightened, educated people. I bet allot of therapists are making allot of money this week.

NEW YORK — A 25-year-old university worker from Georgia shot and killed himself at ground zero Saturday morning, authorities said.

The man, Andrew Veal, (of Athens, Ga., was found atop the structure housing the 1 and 9 subway lines after a hotel worker spotted what he believed was somebody sleeping inside the site around 8 a.m., said Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A shotgun was found near the body, Coleman said. No suicide note was found, he said.

Veal apparently was distraught over President Bush's re-election, Newsday reported Saturday on its Web site edition, citing an unnamed police source. The newspaper also said the man was a registered Democrat who opposed the war in Iraq

Jane Smiley’s latest article, one of the so- called liberal thinkers has decided to have a little public fit. She comes so completely unhinged that she compares modern red state America to Quantrills raid and massacre on the Indians in 1862 Kansas. Saying that everyone in the red states hence “Republicans” are stupid blood lusting idiots who are brainwashed by religion. Liberals have a hate and a fear of God because to admit there is a God is to admit man is flawed, and that is something a liberal can’t bring himself or herself to do. They have no problem screaming that the right “imposes” their beliefs on them. But through the liberal media, liberal schools, and liberal judges they have no problem forcing their beliefs on everyone else. Because they arrogantly believe they know what is best, and everyone else is to dumb or brainwashed to know what to think for themselves. That is flat out Elitist-Socialist, hypocritical, thinking folks, two America’s that inference, and the other garbage they spew, is strait out of the Communist Manifesto.

Did they ever stop to think that a majority of Americans might not agree with their views? That Americans vote for Republicans maybe, just maybe because they agree with them? Americans don’t want to have high taxes, socialism, gay marriage, and multinationalism forced down their throats, especially by a bunch of arrogant malcontents who think they are superior and more intelligent than everyone else. In other words Ms. Smiley, we don’t want, and will not be told, what to think by your socialist, liberal hierarchy and if you do not understand that your Party dooms itself to loose more elections. Trying to draw a comparison between Quantrill’s raid and red states is far fetched at best. But a comparison can be drawn between Judeo-Christian beliefs and the founding of this country something your Party tends to forget. Ignorance and bloodlust have a long tradition in the United States, especially in the red states. There used to be a kind of hand-to-hand fight on the frontier called a “knock-down-drag-out,” where any kind of gouging, biting, or maiming was considered fair. The ancestors of today’s red-state voters used to stand around cheering and betting on these fights. When the forces of red and blue encountered one another head-on for the first time in Kansas Territory in 1856, the red forces from Missouri, who had been coveting Indian land across the Missouri River since 1820, entered Kansas and stole the territorial election. The red news media of the day made a practice of inflammatory lying—declaring that the blue folks had shot and killed red folks whom everyone knew were walking around. The worst civilian massacre in American history took place in Lawrence, Kan., in 1862—Quantrill’s raid. The red forces, known then as the slave-power, pulled 265 unarmed men from their beds on a Sunday morning and slaughtered them in front of their wives and children. The error that progressives have consistently committed over the years is to underestimate the vitality of ignorance in America. Listen to what the red state citizens say about themselves, the songs they write, and the sermons they flock to. They know who they are—they are full of original sin and they have a taste for violence. The blue state citizens make the Rousseauvian mistake of thinking humans are essentially good, and so they never realize when they are about to be slugged from behind.
Here is how ignorance works: First, they put the fear of God into you—if you don’t believe in the literal word of the Bible, you will burn in hell. Of course, the literal word of the Bible is tremendously contradictory, and so you must abdicate all critical thinking, and accept a simple but logical system of belief that is dangerous to question. A corollary to this point is that they make sure you understand that Satan resides in the toils and snares of complex thought and so it is best not try it.

About those exit polls

The most probable explanation of those early exit polls on the election was that they were a deliberate attempt by either the Democratic Party or the media to suppress Republican vote. We already know that the early polling came from urban areas and the sample was skewed to 58 to 59% women and about 40% men. Being as the data was mostly women who traditionally are more likely to vote Democrat, and, that the samples were from the cities that trend more Democrat is why the skewed data showed a Kerry lead.

I noted as I started getting this skewed information on election day that if the sample was showing that many women and Kerry was only up by 3 points or so in the state that it did not hold well for him that in fact, Gore, would out of the same sample, had much more of a lead with women. The fact that the skewed numbers were leaked on the Internet first is interesting, knowing that it would spread like wildfire through the conservative blogs was a good way to try to suppress turnout among Republicans. We will keep probing this story and find out why and who did this, my hunch at this point, and the general consensus is it was deliberate to suppress Republican turnout. Powerline has some interesting posts on this also, so does Dick Morris, who believes that exit polling could not be that skewed unless it was deliberate, which I think it was. Either Democrats or the media or both leaked this information to left wing blogs to start this process that is what is known as of now, but the blogosphere will find the truth of what happened. Someone paid to have this polling done and that is a good place to start looking to track this down.

Grieving Bush haters have to wait in line to get into Canada if they want to flee the imperialistic Bush regime. Maybe France or Cuba will let them in, or they can share a cave with Kos hero Osama Bin Laden. Canadian officials made clear on Wednesday that any U.S. citizens so fed up with Bush that they want to make a fresh start up north would have to stand in line like any other would-be immigrants — a wait that can take up to a year.
“Let me tell you — if they’re hard-working honest people, there’s a process, and let them apply,” Immigration Minister Judy Sgro told Reuters.Asked whether American applicants would get special treatment, she replied: “No, they’ll join the crowd like all the other people who want to come to Canada.”
